DAMASK
Damasks are hybrids of Rosa phoenicea and Rosa gallica. Damask
Roses are used for attar due to their wonderful fragrance. Most have double flowers
ranging from white to crimson. In ancient times the Romans cultivated this rose and
monasteries grew them for their fragrance and medicinal uses.

Autumn
Damask: pink, fragrant, 5 feet, loosely double flowers with a delightful
fragrance. A repeat bloomer. Zone 4

Leda:
white with crimson edges, 3 x 3 once blooming. Flowers are borne on clusters of four to
five flowers each that in fall bear bright red hips. A good rose for containers or even
low hedges. Zone 5

Madame
Hardy: white, fragrant, 4 to 6 feet, A rose with an arching growth habit and white
double blooms. Zone 4 or 5

Rose de Rescht:
fuchsia-pink double, fragrant, 3 to 4 feet, fully double blooms are bright fuchsia, and
medium green foliage. Zones 4-10
