Form: Large, open, spreading shrub
Range: Zone 4 to 8
Habitat:  Adapts to many soil types, prefers well-drained dry soils.
Wildlife Value: Important source of food for the birds in late winter to early spring as the fruits are persistent.  
Landscape Value:
Good for "naturalized" and wildlife gardens.
